Our client, Ireland’s leading specialist Heat Recovery and Ventilation systems provider is expanding. As part of a strategic re-organization we have created a new COO role to focus on the growing operational effectiveness, production management and customer support activities. We seek an ambitious and energetic Operations Manager keen to move up to the COO role to propel our Production and Operational activities to a new level. Based in Galway, but with clients located nationwide and abroad the COO will take responsibility for all operational aspects of the business and work closely with the CEO, customers and production/support staff to deliver excellence in product, service and customer engagement. What you will do:
Develop the business operations in line with the company business plan.
Manage all operational activities, Production, Fulfilment and Customer support.
Lead new initiatives to enhance the production/support systems through innovation and efficiencies.
Enhance the market reputation of the company for Quality, Timeliness and excellence.
Build a strong, efficient and flexible Production and Operations capability to support growing demands.
The candidate will have:
A production, operational or support background in the construction/engineering/energy efficiency industry that shows your career progression over 10+ years.
A proven track record of achievement and delivering beyond expectations in quality and quantity.
5 years + Project and Process management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Great people skills at all levels (customers, staff, management).
A creative and keen eye for cost management and efficiency improvements.
Experience of developing and running small engineering business would be advantageous.
Qualifications and skills
A relevant third level qualification or equivalent in Mech, Civil or Elect Engineering or related areas.
A high level of computer literacy (MS Office, Web based communication tools, Project management, production planning & management tools and CRM systems).
Excellent communications capabilities, written, oral and presentation with fluent English.
Be articulate and have a high level of attention to detail from client site to production floor.
You will have excellent and proven inter-personal communications skills, will understand the importance of team working and will be strong on initiative and process. He/she must have a valid work permit for Ireland and the UK.
